Alex Gross, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB

Senior Principal | Owner

Bachelor of Architecture, Texas Tech University

Alex Gross, AIA, is a Senior Principal and an Owner of JDMA Architects.  He joined the firm in 2011 bringing experience in a wide range of building types; from large-scale commercial, healthcare and educational, as well as restaurant and retail work.  Additionally, he is involved in the firm's business development, marketing, client relations, and project and studio leadership.  After receiving his Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University in 1994, Alex soon became a registered architect and is currently licensed in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado and is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Alex’s previous experience at a design-build firm allows him to better collaborate with contractors in the field to ensure that each project is constructed as designed and documented.  In 2014, JDMA continued to grow through transition from the original founder to Alex taking the leadership role as Senior Principal and Owner.  Today Alex and the JDMA team continue to bring creative design and high standards of architectural service to every client and project.

Alex is an active member of professional and community boards, and past President of Lubbock’s Chapter of The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).  He resides in Ropesville with his wife Kathie and their two pets.  In his free time, Alex enjoys camping, hunting, kayak fishing, and watching college football with his best friend Cooper (his Chocolate Lab) in the comfort of his man-cave.
