Delta  Delta  Delta  -  New  Sorority  Lodge

Project Description:

In response to the organization’s growth, Tri-Delta reached out to JDMA Architects to design a new two-story chapter house at the same location as the previous building within Texas Tech University's Greek Circle.

The design for the new sorority house, completed in 2018, placed an emphasis on providing better facilities for recruitment events, accommodating future changes or additions, maximizing natural light and strengthening Tri-Delta’s ties to alumni and the university.  Highlights of the new 14,223 SF house include an entry foyer with library/resource area and work room on either side, stairs and elevator, commercial style kitchen, and dual open living areas anchored by an oversized fireplace.  The second floor features an expansive Chapter Room and C & S Office that each open to outdoor balconies, service and support areas and a variety of office and storage rooms.  The first floor spaces open up to multiple outdoor courtyard spaces, which provide inviting areas for gatherings and are highly visible from street level.
