Lubbock Children's Health Clinic - Renovations
Project Description:
JDMA Architects provided architectural services for the interior renovation and space optimization of the Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic located at 302 North University Avenue. Operating within the building's existing footprint, the layout was reconfigured to improve patient flow, enhance staff coordination, and establish a warm, welcoming environment tailored to community pediatric care.
The updated design features a central nursing station and laboratory core situated near eight private exam rooms and specialized intake areas. Beyond primary care spaces, the renovated facility integrates specialty community programming, including a pediatric eye clinic, a milk bank and bio-storage room, a collaborative administrative suite, and a dedicated community food pantry and training area.
Thorough mechanical, electrical, and plumbing updates were coordinated with Chambers Engineering to modernize building performance. Finishes were completely refreshed with durable, easy-to-clean materials and acoustic controls, ensuring a safe, comforting, and reassuring healing environment for regional children and families.
