West Texas Eye Associates - New Clinic Facility
Project Description:
Through our client’s need for a new clinic to support his growing healthcare practice, JDMA Architects was able to create a contemporary yet neighborhood-appropriate healthcare office in South Lubbock.
The thoughtful openness of the plan makes the spaces both generous and functional throughout, and the expansive waiting area was raised up to create a light-filled space that highlights the clean, restrained interior material palette. The exterior façade features a modern blend of brick, exposed steel, glass, and painted EIFS as a backdrop to the stone clad entry. Extending interior materials out and bringing exterior materials in creates a polished and effortless flow from interior to exterior. Planting beds soften the building’s transition to the street and create a natural visual foreground from both the entry and the interior. By opening the building to the exterior with generous amounts of both tinted and translucent glass in strategic locations, the new facility is introduced to the surrounding community as a warm and inviting new neighbor.
